Jesus Walked On Water

 

Jesus and His best friends, the disciples, had been very busy telling people about God and doing miracles. ⛵️ Jesus told His disciples to go on ahead to the other side in a boat. 

Meantime, He sent the  crowds off and stayed back back to pray on a mountaintop.

Meanwhile, the disciples had rowed the boat a good distance from the land. But a big storm blew in ⛈️! The wind was super strong and the waves  rocked the boat back and forth. The disciples felt very scared.

The disciples were tossed about in the storm from the evening to the next morning at about 2 a.m.  Suddenly, they saw a figure walking on the water towards them ! They thought it was a ghost and cried out in fear!

But Jesus called out to them, "Don't be scared, it's me, Jesus!" 

.

Peter, who was always brave, said, "If it's really you, Jesus, tell me to walk on the water too!" .

Jesus said, "Come!"

Peter stepped out of the boat and started walking on the water just like Jesus! 

But then, he  looked around at the big waves and got scared. 

He started to sink, but Jesus grabbe his hand and saved him .

Jesus told Peter, "Remember to have faith in me, even when things get scary!" 

They got back in the boat together, and the storm mysteriously  disappeared ✨! Everyone was amazed and began to worship Jesus.

Jesus Walked On Water Scriptures  MATTHEW 14: 22 - 33

22 Immediately He made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away.

23 After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.

24 But the boat was already a long distance from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea.

26 When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, ``It is a ghost!" And they cried out in fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ``Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid."

28 Peter said to Him, ``Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."

29 And He said, ``Come!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, ``Lord, save me!"

31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, ``You of little faith, why did you doubt?"

32 When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.

33 And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, ``You are certainly God's Son!"

Jesus Raised The Widow's Son From The Dead

Jesus and His friends were on a road trip. ☀️ 

They were headed to a cute little town called Nain, which means "beauty" in their language! 

Sadly, a young man there had just passed away His mom, who had already lost her husband, was all alone now. It must have felt super scary and lonely for her!

When Jesus arrived at the town gate, he saw a crowd walking out. They were carrying the young man on a stretcher, because they were taking him to be buried.

But guess what? Jesus is kind and helpful just like a superhero! He saw this sad situation, and decided to do something amazing. ✨ 

Jesus felt very sad for the mom, so he went straight to her and told her not to weep. Then, something incredible happened! Jesus touched the stretcher and said, "Hey there young man, wake up!" with a powerful voice!

Just like that, the young man opened his eyes and came back to life! Everyone watching was speechless! They knew Jesus was super special because he could bring people back from the dead! 

The people began to rejoice and to say:

`A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, ``God has visited His people!"

The news of this miracle spread like wildfire! Everyone wanted to meet Jesus because he was so awesome!

Jesus Raised The Widow's Son From The Dead Scriptures

LUKE 7: 11 - 17

11 Soon afterwards He went to a city called Nain; and His disciples were going along with Him, accompanied by a large crowd.

12 Now as He approached the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a sizeable crowd from the city was with her.

13 When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, ``Do not weep."

14 And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, ``Young man, I say to you, arise!"

15 The dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.

16 Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, ``A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, ``God has visited His people!"

17 This report concerning Him went out all over Judea and in all the surrounding district.
