- Shem was one of Noah's three sons.

Shem had five sons, and their names are super interesting! Let's meet them:

2. Asshur  - ancient Assyria.
4. Lud  - his descendants lived in a place called Lydia (Eze 30:5)
5. Aram  -  his descendants lived in ancient Mesopotamia and Syria (a place in Mesopotamia). The people were  called Syrians.

- Uz
- Hul
- Gether

- Peleg  and Joktan. Peleg's name means "division," because during his time the earth was divided!

Peleg has a son called Reu, who in turn had a son called Serug. .

Serug had a son called Nahor, who in turn had Terah.

Terah's sons were Nahor, Abram (Abraham) and Haran.  

Abraham is a very important descendant of Eber, because he loved and obeyed God even when no one else did.
