Introduction to Jesus is the Son of God: The Message To Mary 

We are continuing to learn from the bible that 'Jesus is God.' We need to believe Jesus is God because he is the only way to be saved. 

We looked at how God said He was His Son when He was baptized and when He was transfigured.  When He was transfigured, His face shone like the light and His clothes became bright like light. Both times God said from heaven, "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."

Now, when He was about to be born, Archangel Gabriel came from heaven to a young lady called Mary and told her she would be the mommy of the baby Jesus, who is God. Okay, so listen because I want you to figure out how He told them, how Gabriel the Archangel told Mary, "Jesus is God."

Jesus is the Son of God: The Message To Mary  Luke 1: 26 - 32.

"Now in the sixth month, (that is of Elizabeth's pregnancy), the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 

to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David.  The virgin's name was Mary. 

And having come in, the angel said to her, 'Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women.' 

But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 

Then the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 

He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest.'

The amazing miracle of Jesus' birth - God Is His Father

You see,  Mary was a virgin. That means she had never allowed a man to have sexual intercourse with her. So when a man and a woman have intercourse, it means they can have a baby boy or girl.

However, Jesus was not born like that. God overshadowed Mary, His mother, and put Jesus inside of her. That means that God is His Father.

Archangel Gabriel said that Jesus would be called the Son of the Highest or Son of God. This is the amazing miracle of Jesus' birth.
