Last time we talked about how Archangel Gabriel visited Virgin Mary and told her that she would have a baby. Her baby would be great and would be called the Son of the Highest. In order to have the baby, the Holy Ghost would overshadow her
Therefore, Mary knew that the child that she was about to have was the Son of God. She did not conceive the child by the usual way humans do it because with God nothing is impossible.
The Visitation and Elizabeth’s Prophecy
Mary knew that her unborn baby was the Son of God. Now, let’s look today at her visit to her cousin Elizabeth, who was also pregnant.
Elizabeth did not know anything about the angel's visit. She did not know anything about the angel telling Mary she would bear the Son of God, but she prophesied that Mary was the mother of my Lord.

And Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah, and entered into the house of Zacharias and saluted Elizabeth.
And it came to pass that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.
And she spake out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
And blessed is she that believed, for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord."
Reflection on the Miracle
You see how amazing God is? Archangel Gabriel visited Mary and told her she would have a baby and that He'd be called the Son of the Highest. Elizabeth was not there, but when Mary entered her house and greeted her, the Holy Ghost filled her and she prophesied that Mary was pregnant with the Son of God. Her baby leaped in her womb for joy!
The Path to Eternal Life
Believing that Jesus is the Son of God is the way to receive eternal life, we've got to believe in Jesus as Savior and repent and turn away from our sins, confess our sins, and live righteously to please God, so that we can go to heaven when our time on earth ends.
A Prayer of Salvation
Here's a prayer that will help you to receive eternal life:
Dear Father, I'm a sinner. I confess I was born in sin, shaped in iniquity. I need salvation from my sins. I believe Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world.
I ask you, Lord, to forgive my sins, to cleanse me and wash me. Put my name in the Book of Life and make me your child. I will live for you. I will not serve any other god. I believe that I have eternal life through your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
